My name is Keith Tan and I am currently a first year Management Student in the University of Manchester. I am writing this manifesto with the intention to fill in the position of Vice-President for the SSSMUK Committee 17/18. In this manifesto, I will be highlighting my interest and suitability for the role.

Firstly, I am very grateful for the freshmen orientation camp that the society has organised before the term started and it was a fantasic way to get acquinted with the seniors and freshmen. It made settling into Manchester a breeze as we were able to query any doubts along the way with the seniors as well as having peer support from the friendship forged during the camp. Therefore, I would like to ensure the next batch of Singaporean freshmen receive the same engagement that I did. I also look forward to the chance to organise society events that will ensure the bond amongst Singaporeans become stronger and hopefully, to bridge the gap between the freshmen and seniors.

As a Vice-President, I understand that my role would be to assist the President in society activities and fill-in whenever he/she is absent. I am confident of my ability in fufilling the responsibilities of this role as I have taken up leadership positions prior to University that had allow me to rake up invaluable experience in organising events of similar scale to SSSMUK events. It has also come to my attention that there are several Singaporeans that are actually ‘un-discovered’ and I would make engaging them a priority.

If elected, I would put in my utmost effort for the interests of the society and ensure that SSSMUK will always strive and prosper.
